Obama and his New governance
http://edition.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/02/24/obama.speech/index.html#cnnSTCVideo
I do not understand why India or Indians think that Obama is wrong in his approach to bring up the economy of his country. After all he is trying to do better for his people. Why should he be bothered about what effect his decisions would have on India or China or any other country for that matter?
Is India not strong enough a country.. or our Economy so dependent on the US of A to keep us afloat? We have abundant resources, we have more manpower than Obama's country. Then why do we Indians think that his policies on tax cuts for companies ensuring jobs in US or for US citizens going back to work will have that big an impact on us ?
I understand that we have a VERY BIG BPO industry which will be severly affected, but then our country did have jobs before the BPO's came into existence. I see MBA's from great colleges and Universities in India working in BPO's. So I ask you, is it absolutely impossible for us to work anywhere else except a BPO? Is this generation of Indians not capable of working in any other industry?
We have so many Banks in our country with god knows how many branches in each State, City or town. We have so many IT companies with a gazillion jobs, Bangalore and Hyderabad are called as IT hubs in India. We have a Major Industrial manufacturing Market. A Mining market which could be count amongst one of the best in the world, and many many more industries where jobs are always there. I know that the salary package that we would get from a Multi national Company will not be close to what an Indian Company can offer, but it still keeps us afloat.
One of the most beautiful countries on the planet with more than just sight seeing to offer any of the tourists and yet we see our nationals wishing to go to Europe/US/Australia on tours. Have we all seen everything there is to see in India? Cant we experience our country before we move out?
One of the best education systems in the world, Envy of any country and we still fear that Obama's policies will bring us to dirt.
I urge my fellow Indians to rethink their opinion about our great country and try to make a difference in our own little way. Whatever we can, however we can. We must stand up and work together towards making India the best country to live in.
I do hope that someday we can be proud about everything our country has and not just boast about our cultural values (Which most of us dont respect anyway) when someone points a finger at us.
Take a stand, this is our chance to show the rest of the world that India or Indians are not dependent on any country or its people to survive. We wont just survive, we wont just exist but WE WILL COME OUT TRUMPS, Rise like the SUN and Shine to its full glory.
I hope and pray that I live to see that day in this lifetime.

Luk around urself nine out of ten novels u read are frm foreign authors;nine out of ten refernce books u use in ur studies belong to froeign authors;u watch english movies n c dat dey r not just technollogically advanced but even sentimentally very sound as far as issues of social concern r d subject.Pick movies like "milk" n "revolutionary road".They make you realize u belong to a larger sphere. There are bigger issue than ur maid not turning up for two consecutive days.
No Indian college figures in top 100 educational institutions in the world for graduation yet we have a ratio of more then 10,000 aspirants per seat. Every parent wants his/her son to be a winner so much so dat dere isnt ne lyf left for an average person. There even a petrol pump attendant can have beer in the evening.US eradicated polio in the year 1956; we still keep waiting for polio sundays. You can probably present an arguement that they were a free country long before us but have we done justice to that freedom in the last 60 years.I might be hurting a few sentiments but i often ask maself, do i really have to be proud of my country, I mean i am not ashamed to be an Indian but neither am i proud of it.Y do i have to choose between one of the two..Y cant i just be an individual who wants to do good to himself and people around him and if u think all the jawans who join the army do it bcoz of the "pride" factor, let me save u the suspense-what else can a 12th pass student with a B.A.(corres) degree can do to survive. Its high tym we realize dat derez no disgrace in accepting your position in the world.Wat i wud lyk to see be the tym my life ends is to no longer be called the citizen of a third world nation..but it seems a utopic dream coz no pun intended n di pardon my language but guys even d porn that we lyk to see belongs to them.

As days goes by we are becoming more and more dependent others and not to mention Lethargic, which by the way leads to becoming rustic. I think this is become our culture these days.
We as Indians boast about highest number of people becoming graduates and MBA's, while at the same time we are losing our common sense for the very little things that matter. All the IT graduates, Engineers and MBA's where are they, the so called intellectual brains of this country.
Its high time we wake up and try to open our eyes before its too late and some else takes over what is rightfully ours.
